A creative campaign to encourage cancer screening

Lung cancer survival is reported to have one of the lowest survival rates of all cancers in the UK. In 2016, the Middlesbrough Public Health team announced that it would be trialling a drop-in clinic to screen for lung cancer, in an attempt to diagnose the cancer much earlier in those suffering with the symptoms.

To address the issues, The Creative Alchemist devised a campaign which would directly target those most at risk. Targeted social media adverts, outdoor advertising, podcasts for the local football club and beer mats were all designed around the concept of highlighting the key symptoms. A motion graphic was also produced for use on social media and digital.
