Using creativity to encourage the local community to travel by bus

Local Motion, a government funded initiative that promotes the use of sustainable transport, approached The Creative Alchemist to develop an eye-catching brand campaign with the aim of encouraging people across the Tees Valley to travel by bus over the festive period. Through a creative workshop with the team, we were quickly able to define the target audience, campaign personality, messaging and design execution, and we created the ‘More festive less fuss, when you travel by bus’ campaign.

The production of the campaign saw us get involved with the creative direction of a photo shoot to humanise the message through photography rather than stock images, using local models, as well as media buying to get the campaign message out on various platforms including radio advertising, bus and outdoor advertising, PR, social media advertising and content, dedicated web page and a local promotional team. The campaign generated over 10,500 visitors to the website and secured various promotional space in a range of publications.
