Acklam Hall

A festive marketing campaign for the Grade I listed building

Following a multi-million pound renovation, the historic Acklam Hall reopened in 2016 as a prestigious venue for parties, weddings, business meetings and conferences. The team approached The Creative Alchemist to create a distinctive campaign for the venue’s first Christmas and New Year offering, which would be used to promote an array of events including Christmas party nights, festive afternoon teas as well as lunches at the hall on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve. The brand needed to be sympathetic of the current identity for the hall, taking into account traditional values, the heritage and target audience.

Through a series of tailored workshops we named and created a sophisticated and festive campaign, complemented with sophisticated hand-drawn visuals, staying away from bold and bright colours and heavy reliance on graphic design.

A suite of materials including print adverts, website imagery, social media imagery, food menus and a promotional leaflet were designed to promote the campaign, as well as a targeted digital advertising campaign across social media channels to attract new audiences and raise the hall’s profile.
